Our orientation filter (relationship, career, situation, health etc.) can go two different ways, these are possibility or necessity.
When some one like @donaldtrump sees a building site, he thinks of what is possible with it. Or the flip side of the coin, some one that is working in a job they don’t love out of the necessity to pay their bills.
As yourself “Why are you choosing to do what you’re doing in (this situation/career/relationship)?”
When you answer it are you talking about what is possible or what is necessary? Notice peoples reactions in conversations, especially when tasks are handed out. What are people’s responses is it about possibility or necessity?
When you know how some one is orientated you will be able to change how you introduce a task/idea, for example:
Possibility = “Consider the possibilities in this project…we really can do this.”
Necessity = “Consider the obligations we have…we really have to do this.”
Both = “As you consider the possibilities of this project, also consider the obligations we have…we need to…and we can.”
Rock and Roll
PS. What’s the one thing you don’t do, that would cause the most positive change in your life?
