Business Analysis
Business analysis, process mapping

The bridge between strategy and delivery is analysis. Identifying business and user needs, developing hypotheses, conducting research, producing prototypes to cheaply prove or disprove ideas and helps to ensure the right thing is build for the right people.

My core competency is analysis, where I focus business and user needs. I am efficient at eliciting information, developing requirements, process models, solution diagrams, use cases, scenarios and user stories.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Albert Einstein

Where there is an idea that exists, a strategy that has been defined and a plan made, but no analysis. I thrive.

Engaging with business areas, customers or users is one of my biggest strengths. Taking customer insights and translating them into analytical artifacts, requirements or user stories.

The ‘Path to a Website Model’ was developed to show stakeholders all the stages they were embarking on to get to a new customer experience platform (Sitecore component based marketing platform).

In addition to modeling, I have also:

  • Defined research plans
  • Conducted research
  • Produced evaluation reports
  • Developed functional, non-functional and business requirements
  • Developed epics, featrues, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Produe process diagrams
  • Organise and facilitate workshops
  • Produce solution architecture diagrams
  • Create solution prototypes

I have found my place as an analyst is as the bridge between business and technology.
